Already three albums for the Georgia Shine Band, a band from Atlanta formed in 2013, which propels a Southern rock played straightforwardly in the old way, identify as « Working Class » with a patchwork of influences that range from Lynyrd Skynyrd and Molly Hatchet to the Marchall Tucker Band and Hank Williams Jr. Led by an exceptional singer-guitarist (Doug Southern), accompany by two solo guitar blasters Dustin Mc Elroy and Kevin Taylor, they had announced the color before on their first opus in 2015 with tracks like "Redneck" as well as the long "Johnny Rebb" dedicated to the Civil War. In 2019, their second record called "Quicksand" featured a champagne version of Molly Hatchet's "Bounty Hunter". For this third opus named "Evil" comprising eleven titles, one does not change a winning team. She always offers us a sweet southern rock, straight in her boots, with the strong opening "Pickets Mill" with a strong Molly Hatchet influence. Then come "Where Does It Go From Here" and "Happiness", mid-tempo "Southern Country Rock" very pleasant to listen to. We return to more bloody with good guitars on an effective and heady rhythmic groove on "Second Amendment" as well as on the title-album "Evil".We decompress with the pretty ballad "My Grandson", then it sends wood again with on the menu a feasting of guitars on the titles "Right Where I Belong" and "Six Feet Under" and the disturbing "Down And Dirty". Conclusion in acoustic arpeggios all in softness on the superb "Look At Me Now" which tempers this fiery album.
